Can I start at 16?
Yes. Students 16 and older are welcome to begin their training.
Do I need a degree or GED?
No. You do not need a GED, high school diploma, college degree, or prior dental experience to start. Students 16+ can begin training; admissions will confirm your fit and any paperwork details on the Career Fit Call.
What is the schedule like?
During the week you watch short online VIDEO modules - quick videos walking you through the exact procedures you'll perform that week (no boring textbooks) - plus one full hands-on day each week in our West Palm Beach clinic. Multiple schedules and weekend options are available, so students from Broward and Martin counties only commute once a week. You also complete 55 externship hours at an actual dental office (often near your home), where you work on real patients. Many students receive job offers from these offices, and dental assistants are in high demand regardless!
